John Robert "Robbie" Howard, 65, passed away on Sunday Feb. 11, 2024 after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will speak to those attending beginning at 10:00 a.m. before the service at the funeral home.

Mr. Howard was born in Florence County, the son of the late Ray Allen and Mary Sue McLaughlin Howard.  He was a graduate of Hudgens Academy and Francis Marion University where he received a degree in Accounting.  He worked with the Howard Johnson Motel Chain as a Night Auditor.

Surviving are; a brother, Gary (Pam) Howard; three nephews, Zackary (Abigail) Howard, Jeremy (Ashley) Howard, Malakai Howard; six grand nephews, E.J., Nico, Alexander, Hayden, Zackary and  Roman.
