Timmonsville, SC – Reata "Rita" Watts Atkinson, 66, passed away with her family by her side on Friday, February 19, 2021.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Byrd Cemetery in Timmonsville, SC.  The family will speak to those attending after the service at the cemetery.  You are asked to wear your mask and maintain social distancing.

"Rita" was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late James and Myrtle McElveen Watts.  She worked at Oxford Textile in Timmonsville for more than twenty-five years.

She was married to the late J.W. Atkinson, who passed away in November, 2020.

Surviving are two sons, Tony Knotts, James (Jennifer) Atkinson; four daughters, Brenda (Keith) Notter, Renee (Jamie) Beasley, Sheila (Amy) Knotts, Leigh (Doug) Watson, grandson, Patrick Knotts and eight grandchildren.
