Florence, SC – Richard "Rick" Alan Powell, 70, passed away on Friday, Oct. 22, 2021.

A memorial service will be announced at a later time.

Mr. Powell was born in Montgomery, Alabama, the son of the late Eugene and Sara Matthews Powell.  He served in the US Marines.  Rick was a long distance truck driver.

Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Rita Bowling Powell; a daughter, Lisa (Steven) Turner; son, Richard E. Powell;  three brothers, Boyd (Pam) Powell, Jimmy (Sherry) Powell, Carl (Teresa) Powell; a number of grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and a son-in-law, Lee Stanley.    He is preceded in death by a son, Michael Powell and brother, Eugene Powell, two daughters, Tina Danzler and Candy Stanley.
