Timmonsville, SC – Mary Rebecca Morris Mathis, 86, died at her residence on Thursday evening Feb. 23, 2017.

A graveside service will be Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will speak to friends following the service.

Mrs. Mathis was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Zoe L and Louise McGee Morris. She was a member of Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church. Before retiring she worked at Piggly Wiggly as a cashier.

Surviving are sisters, Ethel Lee Morris, Muriel (Ray) Pigate all of Timmonsville, Pearl (Charles Harold) Norris, Florence, a sister-in-law, Helen Morris, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Mathis, a son James Mathis, her brothers Lanier and Henry Morris and a sister Betty Williams.
