Olanta, SC – Arnold Ray McLaughlin, 46, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. The family will speak to those attending the service afterwards.

Ray was born in Sumter, County, the son of Roy and Mary Miles Cook.  He was owner/partner in a restaurant at the Sardis exit Truck stop and also a restaurant in Olanta.

Surviving are his husband, Lance McLaughlin; son Arriston McLaughlin; brothers, Christopher Cook, Adrien (Jessica) Cook, Aaron (Sierra) Cook; sister, Ashley Cook.
