IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Randy
Sports
May 9, 2024
Kevin Randolph Sports "Randy", age 58, passed away May 9, 2024 surrounded by the love of his family and his church.
A memorial service, celebrating his life, will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at First Freewill Baptist Church, at five o'clock in the afternoon. Please allow his family to know you stand with them by signing the online guest register at www.laytonandersonfh .
Randy grew up in Florence County. From a very young age he excelled at life skills. Shortly after high school he met his soulmate, Lee Ann Shepard. Never venturing far from home, he began his career at Holox in Florence. He served with the Howe Springs Volunteer Fire Department, earning recognition and many awards. Being a product engineer design specialist with Honda Timmonsville was his true career highlight. He was given many opportunities for testing and creating the best personal water craft and all-terrain vehicles to ever leave that plant. He also loved the opportunities for travel associated with his career.
He enjoyed being outside in his garden and raised many animals. However, nothing matched his love for his wife and his two children. His family gave him strength, laughter and joy. He made a point of telling everyone how much he loved and respected his family.
Randy is survived by his wife, Lee Ann Shepard Sports; his son Bradley Sports, his wife Stephanie and their two sons and the daughter they will welcome in September; and his daughter Hannah Sports and her fiancé Zach Coward; and, his brother Gene Sports and his wife Lynn, and their children Heather and Alyssa and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva Gene and Mary Ann Windham Sports and his sister, Teri Sports.
There are too few words to celebrate this man: loving husband, precious father, hero and God's Child.
