Randy Mark Smith Sr, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on April 5th 2025 at the age of 54. Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Miriam Smith, and his grandson, Joseph Smith, both of whom he held close in his heart.

He is survived by his father, Harvey Smith; his brother, David Smith (Melinda); his children, Mark Smith (Lela), Blair Harwood (Brian), and Katie Floyd; his grandchildren, Rebecca and the boys; as well as nieces, nephews, and many other extended family members and friends who will miss him deeply. Randy had a deep love for cars, mechanics, and the thrill of drag racing, passions that were an essential part of his life. From a young age, he found joy in working on engines and racing at local tracks, where he shared many unforgettable moments with his family. He passed on this love to his son. Randy's love for cars wasn't just a hobby; it was a bond that brought his loved ones closer together, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Those who knew him best will remember his quiet strength, his unique perspective on life, and the warmth they shared in moments of connection. Randy will forever be remembered for the joy he brought into the lives of others, and his absence will be felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home on Thursday April the 10th from 5-7.
