Timmonsville- Randy Lawhon, 53, died on Monday July 4, 2016 after an illness.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Bay Branch Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Timmonsville. The visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Randy was born in Florence County, the son of the late Swain and Lueree Wilkes Lawhon. He was the owner of Lawhon's Produce and Plants at the Pee Dee State Farmers Market. Randy loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Randy was a dedicated husband, dad and friend. He enjoyed people and this was reflected in his work at the farmers market on a daily basis.

Surviving are his wife Pamela Moran Lawhon, Timmonsville; his son, best friend and joy of his life, Randy Patrick Lawhon of the home; two brothers, Harry (Marilyn) Lawhon, Lamar, John (Dorothy) Lawhon, Timmonsville; a sister, Dorothy Lawhon, Florence; many special nieces and nephews, his faithful companion "IZZY". In our lives we have close friends that are like extended family,such as Jason Lamb, Joe Hayes and Darrell Poston. He is preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lawhon.
