Timmonsville- Raeford Eli Buie, 65, went to his heavenly home on Friday evening May 1, 2015 at the McLeod Hospice house with his family at his side.

Funeral services will be Monday, May 4, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethany Free Will Baptist Church, Timmonsville. Interment will follow at Byrd Cemetery, Timmonsville. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. before the service at the church on Monday.

Mr. Buie was born in Darlington County, the son of the late Palmer and Pauline Jordan Buie.

Raeford was a Utility Contractor/Plumber; the owner of J & B Utility Contractors, he was in charge of Public Works and the City Administrator in Timmonsville for 20 years. He was presently working with Carolina Supply House in Florence. He was a member of Bethany Free Will Baptist Church.

He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Frances Morris Buie.

Surviving are his wife of Timmonsville, Pat Spring Buie; two sons, Timothy Rae (Maria) Buie, Florence, Ritchie Buie, Timmonsville; two step-daughters, Pamela (Mitchell) McCaskill, Mullins, SC, Jill (Stephen) Lynch, Timmonsville; three brothers, Gerald (Bettina) Buie, Robert Buie all of Florence, Kistler Buie, Lumberton, NC; a sister, Hazel Buie Thompson, Darlington and a special niece Shelby Walker, Timmonsville; granddaughters, Abby & Gracie Buie, step- grands, Brittany and Kayla White, Conner and Piercen Lynch. He is preceded in death by brothers, John, Roy, Wilson, Jim, Julian, and Ronald Buie.
