Florence- Phyllis Maureen Evans Cox, 55, died late Thursday evening April 9, 2015 at the McLeod Hospice House.

A memorial service will be Sunday, April 12, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Florence. The family will speak to family and friends after the service.

Phyllis was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Laurie Jahue and Mary Stone Evans. She was a receiving manager at a local grocery store in Florence.

Surviving are her son, Michael Medford, Myrtle Beach; three brothers, Everette (Sharon) Evans, Florence, Barry (Brenda) Evans, Coward, LaVance (Virginia) Evans of Virginia.
