Obituary

Florence- Philip Caldwell Calhoun, 75, died January 1, 2017, in a local hospital.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Florence with military honors.

Phil was born in Mullins, SC, the son of the late Clarence Aubrey, Sr., and Irene Bryant Calhoun. He served his country in the US Navy and transferred to the Naval Reserve. He was a Corporate Pilot before retiring. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, restoring old tractors and the mechanics of old cars.

Surviving are: his wife of 50 years, Ann Herring Calhoun; a son, Mitchell (Judy) Calhoun, Florence; brothers, George Robert (Sue) Calhoun, Floydale, SC, Paul Anthony (Lee Ann) Calhoun, Charles Kevin "Butch" (Lynn) all of Fork, SC; sister, Rosemary Calhoun (Robert) Adams, Chapin, SC; and a grandson, Michael (Millie) Calhoun.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
