Paul J. O'Connor III, 72, passed away on July 2, 2025 after a brief illness.

Memorial services will be Friday, July 11, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Florence. A visitation will be held immediately following the service, approximately 5pm-6pm.

Mr. O'Connor was born in Syracuse, New York, the son of the late Paul J. O'Connor, Jr and Joan Elsa Behm O'Connor.  He worked as a Multi Craft Mechanic for Coca Cola Bottling Company.  Paul was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Florence.  His passions included, golf, deer and duck hunting, wood working and spending time with his loving family.

Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Diane Hunsinger O'Connor; son, Michael (Valarie) O'Connor, daughters, Michelle (William) Reeves, Patricia "Patti" (Joe) Casella; brother Danny (Juanita) O'Connor; sisters, Patty Gersbacher, Sue (John) Besten, Debbie Garafolo, Kathy (Larry) Durkin, Joanie (John) Mahar and his grandchildren, Joey, Violet, Sadie, Alyssa, Khloe, Liam and a host of nieces and nephews.
