Patricia Smith Kennedy, 77, of Effingham, passed away at MUSC Florence on Monday June 2, 2025.

Preceding her in death are her parents, John O. Smith and Helen Byford Smith.

She is survived by her husband David Kennedy, two sons, William (Amy) Lambert, Phillip (Jenell) Lambert;  one step son David (Summer) Kennedy; Two brothers; John O. Smith,II and David Smith; half sister, Sue Hall; grandchildren, Ashley, Stephen, Matthew, Payton, Presley, Madison and step-grandchild,Baylee;  two great- grandchildren, Madilyn and Indie.

Mrs. Kennedy was born in Murfreesboro, TN. She was a member of Effingham Presbyterian Church ,a Sunday School teacher, a member of the choir and led the ladies circle. She is a retired school teacher of 38 years. She  graduated from Middle State University.

There will be no service. Her wishes were to spread her ashes in the Great Smokey Mountains.
