Florence, SC-  Palmer LeGrand Lane, Sr. 86, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019.

A Memorial service will be Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. The family will speak to those attending after funeral.

Mr. Lane was born in Horry County, the son of the late John O'Neal and Elizabeth Spivey Lane.  He served his country in the US Army.  He worked with NANYA Mfg. in Lake City in the maintenance department.

He was married to the late Carolyn Matthews Lane.

Surviving are three sons, Palmer "P.J." Lane, O.T. (Cindy) Barbee, David Hedin; two daughters, Barbara Lane and Hope Hedin; brother, Leonard (Sharon) Lane; sisters, Miriam (Lanneau) Collins, Marilyn (Carl Lee) Jackson; three grandchildren, one special granddaughter, Elizabeth Barbee and nine great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by a son, Cliff Barbee, a daughter, Donna B. Brown and a brother, Rueben Lane.
