Scranton, SC – Nelson Mack Collins, 69, passed away on Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 after an illness.

Funeral services will be Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy near Lake City. Interment will follow in Strickland Cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Mr. Collins was born in Florence County, the son of the late J.T. and Alberta "Sis" Matthews Collins. Before retiring he was a Dry-Wall / Sheet Rock installer. He was a member of Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy. He enjoyed working in his garden and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Dianne McCutcheon Collins; four sons, Bryan (Diana) Collins, Casey (Amy) Collins, Eddie McCutcheon, Nelson (Shirley) Collins, Jr.; a brother, George Collins; thirteen grand-children and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by Kelly Collins.
