Nellie Cramer Walters, 84, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at her residence.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 7, 2025 in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home with visitation at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m. before the service. A private interment will be held in the Peniel Baptist Church Cemetery at a later time.
Born in Orangeburg, she was the daughter of the late James Cramer and the late Lurline Jackson Cramer.
She was married to the late James W. Walters who passed away in 2022.
Mrs. Walters retired from ESAB where she worked in safety and quality control. Nellie was a member of Peniel Baptist Church, faithfully serving as a Sunday School teacher and choir member for many years.
Surviving are her sons, James W. "Jim" Walters and his wife Darlene, and Jeffery "Shawn" Walters and his wife Libby; her brother, Bruce Cramer and his wife Margie; her sister Janet Dewberry and her husband Ray; grandchildren, Griffin Walters, Zachary Walters, Dylan Walters, Nickolas Walters; and a special niece and caregiver, Emily Cooper.
Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or the charity of one's choice.
