Ellen Stokes "Nadine" Burroughs, 76, passed away on August 21, 2025.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Born in Florence, SC, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Mildred McKay Stokes.

Ellen was a member of Cartersville Baptist Church.  Before retiring, she was employed by a Gated Community as a Security Guard.

Surviving are a son, Dwaine (Shannon) Burroughs; brother, James Edward (Sherry) Stokes; sisters, Annie Jean Wellington, Judy (Charlie) Edwards, Linda Hemminger and Betty Jordan; and a grandchild, Nicholas (Carolyn) Burroughs.
