Timmonsville - Myrtle C. Johnson, 76, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026.

Born in Florence, she was the daughter of Jack and Lena Cook Curry. She was the widow of Jerrold Ray Johnson, Sr.

Myrtle retired from La-Z-Boy in Florence after many years of service. She was a member of New Hope Christian Church.

Surviving are two sons, Brian Scott Johnson, and Jerrold Ray Johnson, Jr.; three sisters, Glenda Williams (Van), Carolyn Conner, and Betty Collins (Feddie); four grandchildren, Katie Marsh, Alyssa Johnson, Maddie Saunders, and Taylor Willis.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 20, 2026 at Hicks Cemetery in Coward.

Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Research Foundation or Blood Cancer United (formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society).

The directors of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home have been entrusted with her care.
