Lynchburg, SC – Myrtle Coleman Hickson, 91, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019.

Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Lynchburg, SC.  Burial will follow in the Presbyterian Cemetery.  The family will have a time of visitation Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Florence.

Mrs. Hickson was born in Florence County,the daughter of the late Luther David and Bessie Singletary Coleman. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lynchburg and in involved with many of the church activities.  She retired from Campbell Soup Company.  Myrtle was a member of the American Legion Auxillary  Post 140, Lynchburg.

Myrtle was married to the late Luther Eugene "Gene" Hickson.

Surviving are two daughters, Dale (Larry) Logan, Debbie (Bobby) Weatherford; grandchildren, Chris (Jennifer) Graham, Jamie (Crystal) Logan, Tonya Logan Dotterweich and her great-grandchildren, GracieLynne, Eli, Bailee, Logan and Turner.

The family would like to "THANK"  her dedicated caregivers, Marie Toney, Brenda Gamble, Doretha Robinson, Polly Williams, Missy Holly, Kendra James ,Shirley Nero and also the Staff of MSA Hospice.
