Florence, SC- Myrtle Hammett Bailey, 70, passed away on Oct. 27, 2017 after an illness in a local nursing center.

Myrtle was born in Shelby, North Carolina, the daughter of the late DeFoy and Ora Brite Hammett. She worked as a Cashier for convenience stores in the Florence area until retiring.

Surviving are her husband of 28 years, Patrick Bailey, Florence; one daughter, Angela (Clint) Thompkins, Florence; two sons, Ron Mabry and Tim Mabry; one brother, Billy Hammett and seven grandchildren, Sean, Riley, Laci, A.J., Madison, Ron II and Summer.

The family will be at her home at 3107 Springvalley Drive.
