Timmonsville, SC – Myrtis Amerson Hutchinson, 78, died in a local hospital on Wednesday, June 21, 2017.

A funeral service will be Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home Interment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Myrtis was born in Lamar, SC, the daughter of the late Raymond and Irene Watford Amerson.

Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Willie Hutchinson, Timmonsville; son, Jonathan (Meghan) Hutchinson; daughters, Cynthia (Mark) Lawson, Sandra Campbell, Glenda (Shelton Cox all of Timmonsville; brothers, Van (Jennie) Amerson, Lamar, Dwight (Nancy) Langston, Florence; sisters, Emmie Ham, Madline (Max) Blount all of Columbia; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a brother, Marvin James "Jolly" Amerson.
