Melissa "Missy" Gibbs Hanson, 51, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024 after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at New Life Worship Center, 3569 Oates Highway, Lamar, SC at 12:00 noon.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation from 11:00 to 12:00 before the service at the church.

"Missy" was born in Florence, SC, the daughter of Shirley Harris Gibbs and the late Sidney Gibbs.

She was the proud Mother of two children that were her passion in life.

Surviving are son, Royce Hanson; daughter, Katlin Hanson; sister, Amy (Tyron) Ackhori and several nieces and nephew and  her special "POP", James Moates; and the father of her children, David Hanson.
