Florence- Mildred Carr Perry, 87, died at The Carolinian in Florence, on February 23, 2017. A funeral service will be Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Byrd Cemetery in Timmonsville. The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. before the service at the church.

Mrs. Perry was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late James H. and Grace Hicks Carr. She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church. The church was a major part of her life and she was involved with many of the activities. Mildred retired from McLeod Hospital after 40 years of service as the Blood Bank Supervisor.

She was married to the late William Joel Perry.

Surviving are; two sons, Jody (Robin) Perry, Moncks Corner, Scott (Debbie) Perry, Florence; a brother, Jimmy H. (Peggy) Carr, Columbia; seven (7) grandchildren, and seven (7) great –grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Perry, David A. Perry and a daughter, Grace Elizabeth Bramlett.
