Melanie Caroline Porter, 48, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Born in Florence SC, she was the daughter of the Allen Dale Porter and the late Mickie Irene Foster Porter.

Melanie was the most loving and selfless soul that would help anyone. She loved her children and family immensely. She also loved animals greatly. She enjoyed singing in the praise band and working with the children at church. She will be missed dearly.

Surviving are her father, Dale Porter (Judy); son, Michael Andrews; daughter, Hayleigh Porter; sisters, Veneice Powell (Tony), Melissa Streett (Justin); granddaughter, Koraline Rains; grandfather, Lewis Porter; nephews, Alex Powell, Aiden Powell, Daniel Brown, Gabriel Brown.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Bobbie Jean Porter and her niece, Madison Porter.

A celebration of life to honor her will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 31st, 2026, at Hoffmeyer Road Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service. A private entombment will be held in Mt. Hope Mausoleum.
