Florence, SC – Mary Alice Cox Stephens, 75, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021.

Memorial services are planned for Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Alicia, at 3306 1/2 W. Cummins Road, Effingham, SC.

Ms. Stephens was born in Valdosta, Ga, a daughter of the late Herbert Cox and Alice McCartney.  She was a retired Bookkeeper for Darlington Truck Service.

Surviving are daughters, Alicia Rhodes Montanez, Scarlette Rhodes Glowe; son, James David Rhodes,IV; sister, Carolyn Cox Edwards; six grandchildren, Stormy Rhodes Burrows, Jamison Hunter Burrows, Alexis Mayle Glowe, Amber Michelle Glowe, James Elliott Glowe, Mia Genelle Glowe and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by brothers, Herbert Cox, David Cox and a sister, Yvonne Cox Lynch.
