Lake City, SC – Mary Alice Smith Tompkins, 79, passed away on Saturday August 14, 2021.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Coward Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Cowards, SC.  The family will have a time of visitation  beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.

Mrs. Tompkins was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Darby W. and Verna Mendenhall Smith.   She was retired with 41 years of service as Manager/ Sales with retail stores in the area.  Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.  She was a Godly woman who fiercely loved the LORD and spending time with her family.

Surviving are daughters, Cheryl (Mike) Sauls, Carol (Danny) Cox, Lisa (Jeff) Hallman, Linda (Jack) Pate; sister, Gail (Mike) Flowers; grandchildren, Cliff (Melissa) Sauls, Darby Sauls, Kristen (Lance) Bailey, Cole Hallman, Emily Hallman, Noah Hallman, Jay (Brittany) Pate, Tyler Pate; great-grandchildren, Cooper and Hunter Sauls, Jackson and Charlotte Rose Pate.  She is preceded in death by an infant brother.
