Florence, SC – Mary Frances Evans Carter, 87, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 12:00 noon at Calvary Baptist Church,  Cherokee Rd, Florence.  The family will speak with visitors beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the church.  Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.

Mary was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late George Curtis and Ruby Dorriety Evans.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for 67 years.  She was a retired Bank Teller.

Mary was married to the late Robert L. Carter.

Surviving are two sons, Robert Anthony Carter, Timothy "Tim" Laverne Carter; brother, James Evans; sisters, Hazel Watford, Larue Anderson;  grandchildren, Timothy Jordan Carter, Ashley Nicole Carter (Austin) Weiss and her great-grandson, Sterling Asher Carter.   She is preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis Evans, Gene Evans, two sisters, Virginia Harrell and Sybil Bass.
