Florence, SC- Marvin LeRoy Hines, Sr, 88, died at his residence on March 10, 2017.

A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 at the National Cemetery, Florence, SC. A time of visitation will be Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Mr. Hines was born in Sumter, South Carolina the son of the late Henry M. and Lillie Mae Covan Hines. He was a Master Plumber and owned his company. He served his country in the US Army.

Marvin was married to the late Eunice Craft Hines until her death in November of 2016.

Surviving are two sons, Marvin L. (Lisa) Hines, Jr. Jonesville, NC, Joseph (Lynn) Hines, Effingham; two daughters, Barbara Jo (Victor) Cannon, Albany, GA., Kathy Hines, Darlington; one brother, Henry Hines; a sister, Tinnie Branham, both of Winnsboro, SC; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren.

Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, 4210 W. Palmetto Street, Florence is assisting the family.

Honors will be presented by The Veterans Honor Guard of Florence.
