Florence, SC – Marion Mixon, 84, passed away on Jan. 22, 2020,

Funeral services will be Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Anderson Cemetery near Timmonsville.  The family will have a time of visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020 at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Mr. Mixon was born in Florence County, the son of the late Briley and Mabel Anderson Mixon.  He drove a long distance truck for more than 40 years. Marion was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Florence.

He was married to the Late Virginia Mixon.

Surviving are a son, Mike (Robin) Mixon; sister, Patricia Hardee; step-children, Eugene (Sally) Ammons, Betty Jo (Harrel) Jordan, Brenda (Chip) Blackmon, a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.    He is preceded in death by a son, Ricky Mixon, brothers, Marvin Mixon, Milton Mixon and a step-son, Billy Ray Ammons.
