Margaret Ann Bruton Williamson, 93 of Florence died Monday May 12, 2025, at McLeod Hospice House surrounded by her children.

Margaret was born in Burlington, NC to the late Lawrence Allen and Ann Tate Bruton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Leroy K "Lee" Williamson, Sr; her brother, Robert Allen Bruton and her granddaughter, Allison Suzanne Jones.

Margaret had an affinity for reading, which led to her opening The Florence Book Exchange in 1979, which became a staple in Florence until her retirement in 2009. Margaret was a dedicated collector of Dolls and Doll Houses and a master of jumble crossword puzzles and Sudoku.

Surviving are her daughters; Debra Runion and husband Damon and children, Steven Jones ,Benjamin White; Marla Kunz and husband Fred and children, Amanda Goodwin, Leah Kunz, Crystal Hinson; Laura Burney and husband Eddie and children Angela Wicke, Travis Burney, Johnathan Burney; her son Lee Williamson, Jr and wife Ginger and children Andrew Williamson, Adele Dague, Amelia Williamson; 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Mausoleum Chapel of Florence Memorial Gardens, Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with the family receiving friends immediately following the service.
