Florence-Lucille McCormick Rushing, 91, died Sunday, August 21, 2016 after a brief illness.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt.Hope Cemetery, Florence. The family will have a time of visitation on Tuesday evening August 23, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Florence.

Mrs.Rushing was born in Dillon County, the daughter of the late Fred and Ida Foley McCormick. After graduating Business College in Charlotte, NC, she worked in Florence for many years as a teller with Guaranty Bank and Trust. Lucille was a charter member of Greenwood Baptist Church.

Lucille was married to the late Willie Rushing.

Surviving are; her children, Steve Rushing, Florence; Penny (Tony) Lewis, Florence; a brother, Raeford (Charlene) McCormick, Texas and grandchildren, Sandy (Aileen) Rushing, Myrtle Beach, Kelli (Ken) McLean, Lumberton, NC and four great-grandchildren, Tyler Rushing, Brittany Hood, Kameron and Kaden McLean.
