Timmonsville, SC - Lois Hester Johnson, 81, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019 after an illness.

Funeral services will be Sunday, April 7, 2019 at Bay Branch Free Will Baptist Church at  1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at High Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery near Scranton. The family will have a time of visitation beginning at  12:00  at the church before the service.

Lois was born in Georgia, the daughter of the late Walter and Ellen Noles Hester. She was a member of Bay Branch Free Will Baptist Church, Timmonsville. Before her retirement she was employed with JC Penney as a Sales Clerk for more than 20 years.

She was first married to the late Furman M. White then, to the late Thomas L.  Johnson.

Surviving are a son, Furman "Rick" (Teresa) White; two daughters, Pamela Payton, Cherise (Revere) Rayle; brother, Gene Hester; step-sons, Thomas L. (Bridgette) Johnson, John D.(Sherie) Johnson, and five grandchildren, John Messier, Eric (Melissa) Messier, Rev. Christopher (Holly) White, Jonathan White, Katelyn White and her five great-grandchildren,Destany (Landan Frye) Long, Brooke Messier,Nathaniel White, Haliegh Messier, Jodie Messier.
