Lois Irene Graham
Edwards
Nov 1, 1940 — Sep 11, 2026
Fork
Lois Irene Graham Edwards, 85, of Fork, South Carolina, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 11, 2026.
Born November 1, 1940, Lois was the beloved daughter of Harry Luther Graham and Eula Grice Graham. She shared her birthday and an especially precious lifelong bond with her twin sister, Doris Graham Cook. Lois and Doris were more than sisters - they were dear friends who remained very close throughout their lives. Their bond was one of the greatest blessings of Lois's life, and the family finds comfort in believing that the twins are joyfully together once again.
Lois graduated from Lake View High School in 1959 and Selenia Commercial College in 1960.
Lois met the love of her life, Billie Ray Edwards, a proud United States Marine from Illinois. Billie was her Marine, her husband, and the devoted companion with whom she shared her life. They married in 1966 and made their home in Illinois, where they built a loving life together and raised their children, Tony Wayne and Jamie Renee.
Lois was a strong and devoted Christian woman whose faith guided her throughout her life. Her beloved son, Tony Wayne Edwards, passed away on May 12, 1989 - just one day after her father, Harry Luther Graham, passed away on May 11. Lois held them both close in her heart every day, comforted by a faith and love that reached beyond this life.
Some of Lois's happiest moments were spent surrounded by family. She loved large family gatherings and especially enjoyed the family's large fish fries, camping trips, fishing, playing cards, sharing laughter, and simply being with the people she loved. Her warmth, strength, and generous heart made others feel welcomed, protected, and at home.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Jamie Renee Collins; her son-in-law, Robert Charles Collins, whom she considered her second son; her grandson, Tony Wayne Parkinson, and his wife, Kaitlin Parkinson; and her treasured great-granddaughter, Ellie Grace. She also leaves many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
The family offers special gratitude to Rita Greene for her treasured friendship and the devoted care, companionship, and comfort she gave Lois during her illness. Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Billie Ray Edwards; her son, Tony Wayne Edwards; her parents, Harry Luther and Eula Grice Graham; her sister, Wilma Graham Ayers; her brothers, Harry Luther Graham Jr. and George Henry Graham; and her beloved twin sister, Doris Graham Cook.
Although our hearts are broken, we find peace in imagining the glorious homecoming that awaited Lois: welcomed into the arms of Jesus, reunited with Billie, embracing Tony again, and surrounded by her parents, brothers, and sisters. What a beautiful celebration of love there must be in Heaven.
Her strength, devotion, faith, and unconditional love will remain forever in the hearts of everyone blessed to know her.
A celebration of Lois's life will be held at a later date for family and friends. Lois will be laid to rest beside Billie and Tony in the family cemetery, Reid Cemetery in Shawneetown, Illinois.
