Florence, SC – Lois "Peggy" Harpine Anderson, 84, formerly of Germantown, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 10, 2017.

A memorial service will be Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home,Florence, SC. The family will speak to those attending after the service. A graveside service will be held later at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, Maryland.

Peggy was born in Chatterton,VA.,the adopted daughter of the late Quentin and Flora Grant Harpine. She was retired from the AEC (Atomic Energy Commission) as Secretary to the Director of Personnel. She enjoyed bowling, arts and crafts.

Peggy,as she was lovingly known, leaves to cherish her memory her husband of fifty-one years Fredric D. Anderson; a sister, Leonie Baker and several nieces and nephews.

Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, 4210 W. Palmetto Street, Florence is assisting the family with local arrangements.
