Lillie Mae Howard Lynch, 81, affectionally known as "Dutesy" left this earthly home and joined other family in her heavenly place of rest on Thursday, May 8, 2025.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025 in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m.  Burial will follow in Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday evening, May 12, 2025.

Lillie, one of eight children, was born in Turbeville, SC, the daughter of the late John Edward Howard and the late Marjorie Morris Howard.  She was a member of Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church.  Before her retirement she was a seamstress at La-Z-Boy for 35 years.

She was married to the late Joseph H. "Buck" Lynch before his passing in 2004.

Surviving are; her son, Jody Lynch; brother, Ronnie (Wanda) Howard; sisters, Candy Lynch, Hilda Wood, Mattie Ham and her grandsons, Seth Lynch and Wyatt (Liz) Lynch; and a host of nieces and nephews.   She is preceded in death by brothers, Charles and John Howard; sister, Joanne Strickland.

The family would like to recognize and give special thanks to the MSA Hospice for the love and care given to Lillie and her family during her illness.
