Timmonsville, SC – Leona Black Tedder, 77, passed away on Saturday Oct. 26, 2019.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the Funeral Home.  Burial will follow the service at Lawrence Memorial Cemetery in the Elim Community of Effingham, SC.

Leona was born in Spartanburg County, the daughter of the late Oscar and Mollie McElveen Tedder. She worked for Florence MFG until it closed and then worked for AQ Mills in Timmonsville until she retired.  Leona was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church and the ladies auxiliary of the church.

She was married to the late Charles Edward Tedder.

Surviving are two sons, Durant Tedder, Kevin (Nikki) Tedder; grandson, Matthew Tedder and grand-daughter, Amy Tedder, four great-grandchildren, Zack, Molly, McKenzie and Shawn.  She is preceded in death by a son, Shawn Tedder, brother, Marion "Billy" Black, sister, Mary Frances Tedder.
