Timmonsville, SC – Leon J. Rogers, 88, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020.

Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 27, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church ,Timmonsville, SC.  Burial will follow at Elim Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 before the service at Sardis Baptist Church.  Social distancing will be observed, please wear a mask.

Mr. Rogers was born in Clarendon County, the son of Paul and Ellen McCall Rogers.

He served his country in the US Army.  Leon worked as an Engineer with Spring Mills Textile Company before retiring.  After his first retirement , he worked again with Auto Parts on Church Street for 20 years.   He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Rushell Lee Rogers; three daughters, Marie (Robbie) Matthews, Wanda Rogers, Becky Driggers; brother, Lee Roy Rogers, sisters, Mary Hagan, Ann (Ralph) McKay, Lula Richards, Tina Mixon; three grandchildren, Clara Powell, Lynn (Randy) Conner, Michele ( Joey) Sivula; five great grandchildren, Renee' Powell, Nate Powell, Katy Sivula, Langston Sivula, Emaleigh Sivula and a great-great-grandchild, Dalton McDuffie.  He is preceded in death by a sister, Ada Mae Cramer.
