Following a short illness, Lee Rollie Bailey, 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday afternoon, August 18, 2016.

A memorial service will be held Monday, August 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. There will be visitation with the family following the service. A private committal service will be held at the National Cemetery.

Mr. Bailey was born in Florence County, the son of the late Boyd H. and Lula Mae DeFee Bailey. He served in the US Air Force. Following his military service, Lee worked in Civil Service until his retirement from the Air Force.

Surviving are his wife Debra Klyzub Bailey, Timmonsville; four sons, Tony (Deanna) Bailey, Arizona, Chris (Darla) Bailey, North Dakota, Scott (Tara) Bailey, Oregon, Michael Bailey, New York; two daughters, Stacy (Chris) Weaver, Timmonsville, Jennifer (Brent) Hubbard, Florence; four brothers, James H. (Gladys) Bailey, Tennessee, Dallas H. (Barbara) Bailey, Florence, Phillip M. (Carolyn) Bailey Florence, Henry A. (Tania) Bailey, Darlington; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a brother, Clyde T. Bailey.
