Lynchburg, SC – Lawrence Wilson Watford, Jr, 93 passed away, Wednesday Aug. 8, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Florence County, the son of the late Lawrence Wilson Watford, Sr. and Marie Lawhon Watford.

Surviving are his loving wife and devoted care taker, Lenora Tolson Watford of 63 years; his children, Marsha Watford (Jimmy) McCutchen, Lynchburg, Lawrence Edward "Eddie" (Kelly) Watford, Lynchburg, Robbin Watford (Timmy) Tyner, Lamar, six grandchildren; brother, Bobby Watford, Florence. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl Ray Watford and Kenyon Wilton Watford.

Mr. Watford was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. He was a WWII Veteran and recipient of a Purple Heart. He served in the US Navy aboard the "USS Katherine". He was a dairy farmer for thirteen years and a restaurant owner for over 30 years, along with his wife and family.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 at the home in Lynchburg, SC.

Funeral services are planned for Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, Timmonsville, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, C/O Sandra Hudson, 1574 Hibiscus
