Lina Kathryn Miccichi "Kate" went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

She was born in Florence, South Carolina to the late Rev. Robert L. Thomas Sr. and Alice Graves Thomas. Kate was a loving and devoted mother to her children and Bunny to her granddaughter. A wonderful companion to her partner, and a caring aunt to her nieces. She was a graduate of Presbyterian College and held a degree in political science. During her college years she was a certified water safety instructor and always enjoyed teaching others. She spent most of her adult life in Charleston, SC building her career and raising her children, whom she cherished greatly. For the past 7 years, she has been a beloved member of the McLeod Health family known for her servant's heart and compassion for others. She was a devoted servant of Christ who loved people, adored her family, and held the special qualities that could make anyone smile.

She is preceded in death by her father, Rev. Robert L. Thomas Sr. and brother-in-law, William Michael Tolson. Kate is survived by her children, Logan Miccichi and London Miccichi (Mason), her granddaughter, Kaylyn Capri Miccichi, her mother, Alice Thomas, her sister, Lois Ann Tolson, her brother, Lee Thomas, her nieces, Alana Hampton (Cody) and Ashton Tolson, followed by a number of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday May 11, 2024 at 3:00pm. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service.
