Timmonsville, SC- Juliette "Totsie" Dabney Joye, 90 went peacefully to her heavenly home, Sunday evening Oct. 22, 2023.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 28, 2023 at 12:00 Noon at South Florence Baptist Church. Entombment will follow the service. The family will speak to visitors beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the church.
"Totsie" as she was known by family and friends, was born in Kershaw County, the daughter of the late John Thomas and Eva Mae Ogburn Dabney. She retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company with more than 20 years of service. She was a member of Quinby Baptist Church and also South Florence Baptist Church. "Totsie always greeted you with a smile. Her family was very important and she loved each and every one of her children and extended family so much.
Surviving are two sons, Willie Joe Jr, (Carole) White, Everette Eugene "Gene" White; daughters, Libby (Tony) Edwards, Karen W. (Brad) Boles; brothers, Charlie Dabney, Wayne (Alice) Dabney, Larry (Judy) Dabney; sister, Gwen (John) Mincey; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; step-sons, Eddie (Faye) Joye and Barry Joye; step-daughter, Charlene Wilkes and several step-grandchildren that she loved along with all the others. She is preceded in death by brothers, Ogburn, Phil, J.T. , Edwin, Judson, Gene, Keith Dabney and sisters, Libby Gurley and Clariss Taylor.
