Timmonsville- Julie Leviner Shipley, 59, died in a local hospital January 31, 2017 after a brief stay.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and family at the home at 4109 Olanta Highway, Timmonsville on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Ms. Shipley was born in Palm Beach, Florida, the daughter of the late John and Onnie Gaymon Leviner.

Surviving are: her companion of many years, Val Ardis; two sons, Michael (Brittany) Shipley, Johnny Shipley; a daughter, Casey Ardis; two brothers, Johnny Ray Leviner, John Wayne Leviner; six sisters, Brenda Stiles, Linda Miles, Connie Leviner, Loretta (Steve) Baggett, Shirley (Nelson) Collins, Janet (Alan) Ussery; eight grandchildren, Julie Evans, Jonathan Shipley, Brianna Shipley, Dustin Shipley, Justin Shipley, Kaylyn Shipley, Mercedes Shipley and Amber Howell. Also surviving are her best friend, Rita McGee and her God-children, Miranda McGee and Angel Lay and six great-grandchildren. She is preceded by a brother, Larry Leviner.
