Conway, SC.- Juanita "Nita"  Matthews Langston, 75, formerly of Lydia, SC, passed away Dec. 27, 2018.

A memorial service will be Monday, Dec. 31, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Florence.  The family will speak to those attending after the service.

Nita was born in Anne Arundel County, MD, the daughter of the late John Henry and Lorene  Gaddy Matthews.  She graduated from Timmonsville High School and also studied cosmetology in Charlotte, North Carolina.  She worked in the Florence, Hartsville and Timmonsville area as a travel agent for many years.  She also worked as a cosmetologist and provided children's daycare in her home.

Surviving are two daughters, Cyndi (Chris) Shull, Lisa (Jason) Youmans; a brother, John (Marcia) Matthews and four grandchildren, Haydn and Ryan Shull and Katelyn and Jason Youmans, Jr. She is preceded in death by a son, William Singletary, IV and a brother, Sandy Matthews.
