Joseph Henry Burch, Sr, "Joe" – 92, peacefully entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 13, 2024.
Joe was the son of the late Burland J. and Mary Alexander Burch. He grew up in Mt. Croghan, SC. There he played sports in high school. He was a decorated Korean War Army Veteran. Joe had a successful career in the trucking industry. He retired at 59 and enjoyed 33 years of retirement. He was an avid High School sports, Gamecock and Braves fan. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, boating and was a very accomplished golfer, starting in his late 30's and continuing to play until after his 92nd birthday. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was an active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church for over 25 years.
He was first married to the late Francis Smith who passed away after a battle with cancer.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Ondrea H. Burch; sons, Joseph H. "Joey" Burch, Jr and his wife, Rebecca G. Burch; Charles "Andy" Burch and his wife, Karen; his grandchildren, Joseph H. Burch, III, Samuel J. Burch and his wife Kimberly, Matthew G. Burch, English Alexander Burch; stepchildren, Andy McLeod and family, Melanie McLeod, Wendy Waites and family.
