Loris, SC – John Harris Trussell, Sr. passed away on Friday evening February 10, 2023 surrounded  by his loving  family.

Funerals services will be Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  The family will have a time of visitation after the service.  Burial will be at later time.

John was born Walterboro, SC, the son of the late Cecil R. Trussell, Sr. and Mary Harris Trussell.  He was a long distance truck driver until his retirement.

Surviving are two sons, John (Cindy) Trussell and Jeremy (Amy) Trussell; two brothers, George (Tabatha) Trussell and James (Debbie) Trussell; a sister, Catherine (Jim) Cox and his four grandchildren, Harris Trussell and his fiancé, Nicole D'Onghia, Davis (Maranda) Trussell, Matthew Trussell, Sarah Trussell and his great-grandchild, Tuf Trussell.  He is preceded in death by a brother, Roddy Trussell.
