John Henry "Tump" Mixon, 79 formerly of Timmonsville, SC passed away on Sunday, December 08, 2019.

A graveside service will be Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 1:00 at Lake Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will speak to those attending after the service.

Mr. Mixon was born in Darlington County, the son of the late Fletcher and Marie Knotts Mixon.  He was a Building Supply salesman for many years for Wickes Lumber Company and then O'Brian-Mace Company.  John was one of Clemson's football biggest fans.

He was married to the late Darlene Mae Mixon who passed away in 2017.

Surviving are three sisters, Barbara (Jerry) Strickland, Pat (Vernon) Lane, Mary Mixon; son-in-law, Frank Alford; two grandchildren, Jessica Griggs and Josh Griggs; three great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Lennis Alford and a sister, Nancy Jane Welch.
