Florence, SC – John W. Kincaid, 77, passed away in the early morning on Tuesday Oct. 24, 2023 after an illness.

A memorial service will be Friday, Oct. 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  The family will have a time to visit after the service.

Mr. Kincaid was born in Boise, Idaho, the son of the late Franklin and Helen Clotts Kincaid.  He retired from La-Z-Boy Chair Company as a Maintenance Supervisor.  An important work that he enjoyed was doing heating and air conditioning.

John served his country in the US Marines.  He was a family man that loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Betty Schweikart Kincaid; son, Frank (Nancy) Kincaid; daughters, Vicki (Scott) Gandy, Chris (Mitchell) Hales; sister, Fran (John) Williams; brother, George Kincaid; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
