Florence, SC - John Paul Hatcher, 39, passed away suddenly on Sunday, May 7, 2023.

A memorial service will be Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  The family will speak to those attending  after the service.

John Paul was born in Florence County, the son of Victor Hatcher and Eva Ray Andrews.

He did construction work with a local Metal Building Company.  He attended Florence Baptist Temple.  John Paul loved Clemson football, boating and cooking.  Most of all he was a family man who loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his parents; two sons, Gavin Ward, Jacob Hatcher; three daughters, Hayliegh Hatcher, Eden Hatcher, Lyrik Isaac; sister, Keeli  (Troy) Ammons and a granddaughter, Brooklyn James; paternal grandmother, Sandra Hatcher and his special friend, Paul Broach.  He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Rudolph Hatcher and maternal grandparents, Shirley and Elmer Ray.
