Effingham. SC – John Dyeson Bacot, Jr.,71, passed away on Aug.8, 2019.

Funeral services will be Sunday, Aug. 11, 2019 at 3:00 p.m.at Unity Christian Fellowship Church, Effingham.  Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. before the service at the church. Burial will follow at Elim Baptist Cemetery.

Mr. Bacot was born in Florence County, the son of the late John D.,Sr. and Betty Doriety Bacot.  Johnny was a Heavy Equipment Operator.  He attended Unity Christian Fellowship.

Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Wanda Register Bacot; daughter, April (Lee) Hopkins; sister, Janice MaLoch and his grandchildren, Hannah Thornton and Avery Hopkins.  He is preceded in death by a son, Robert Justin Rogers.
