Joanne Phillips Miles, 88, entered into rest on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Born in Winston-Salem, NC, she was a daughter of the late Arthur C. and Mattie Ruth Thompson Phillips. She was a member of the Palmetto Street Church of God.

Surviving are her daughters, Yvonne Nelms (Chirstopher), Jody Brown (James), Lisa Aycock (Don); 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.

A private entombment will be held at Florence Memorial Gardens. The Directors of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home are caring for the family.
